Welcome to One Ocean Dive College

At One Ocean Dive College we base our work on the most important principle concerning dive-education: To teach people safe diving, through the professional conduct of experienced instructors!

We offer our theory- and pool-training on the premises of Spicheren Sports-facility at the University of Agder.

The sea-dives are conducted nearby, at Dvergsnestangen Holiday-center, where our headquarters are located. Our dive-center has recently been acknowledged as one of the 100 best dive-centers in the world (as the only dive-center in Norway) by the German diving-magazine ?Unterwasser?, and here we offer safe and quality-assured dive-education in every meaning of the word.

The most important thing for us is quality throughout the education. Therefore we, among other things, do not allow more than 4 students per dive-course. That is to secure that all students acquire the optimum of attention and follow-up from our instructors.

In all our courses the teaching-material you need is included (book, dive-tables, log-book and video), and we also lend you the necessary dive-gear throughout the course. This way you can concentrate on learning to dive, instead of worrying about unexpected expenses.

In addition, after you are qualified and certified, you are automatically given a 1-year membership in the dive-club One Ocean Dive Society. That means you get an excellent opportunity to continue diving, through access to cheap gear-rental and professionally organized dive-trips on a boat, where you always will have someone to dive with. You also get the opportunity to join in on different events, for example Christmas-diving (swimming around the Christmas-tree and meeting the Scuba-Santa, among other things,) or diving with sharks in the huge sea-aquarium in Hirtshals, Denmark, (only 2 hours away with the ferry.)

The One Ocean Dive College is proud to be a cooperative partner for the Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society,providing diving-education and internships for the elected interns!The Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote educational activities associated with the underwater world.For over 35 years, Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society (OWUSS) has offered a variety of internships and scholarships. The philosophy is that by investing in special young people, by exposing them to a broad array  of activities in the underwater community and giving them opportunities to work with influential people who are leaders in aquatic disciplines, they are investing in the future of  our oceans and lakes.Each year the society awards year-long scholarships designed to expose a qualified young person to a wide range of experiences in various marine-related fields.
The funding of these awards has been provided by the Rolex Corporation, therefore the awards are known as the Rolex Scholarships.
